Mr. Bidhu Bhusan Mishra has taken over the charge of Controller of Examinations, a Statutory post at Central University of Jharkhand on 26 June 2023. Prior to his posting at CUJ, Mr Mishra was serving as the Registrar at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), an Institute of National importance (INI) at Bhubaneswar w.e.f. 30th November 2016. Before that, he was posted at Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology (IGIT), Sarang from 23 May 2011 to 29 November 2016 as the Registrar after an experience of long 20 years in the field of Academics in Directorate of Education, Indian Air Force, under the Ministry of Defence.
He has always been at the forefront of bringing in some radical changes for transparency and accountability in the Academic Administration. During his tenure at Air Force, he looked after various Air Force Schools, Kendriya Vidyalayas and also co-ordinated three prestigious AF Schools of New Delhi like TAFS, AF Bal Bharati and AF Golden Jubilee Institute. Mr. Mishra is credited to have conducted several In-service Training programmes for all categories of teachers/Principals and has developed deep insight into entire areas of Examination/ Evaluation process. He was also involved in multifarious activities at those places where only selected people were posted, such as I/C Education Section, Press Publicity, Welfare Section, Hostel Warden etc. at various Air Force Stations like; Chennai, Chandigarh, Bangalore, Belgaum & New Delhi. On return to Odisha, Mr. Mishra joined as Joint Director at St. Xavier International School and as the Director at Sai Shibani International School both at Bhubaneswar.
Mr. Mishra has Post Graduated both in Political Science from Utkal University and Master of Business Administration (HR & Marketing) from Indira Gandhi National Open University. He has completed his B.Ed Degree from Andhra University. Presently Mr. Mishra is pursuing his Ph.D in HRM from Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT), Rourkela, Odisha. He has to his credit a professional course in Retail Management from Indian Retail School, New Delhi and Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Relation & Personal Management from NITMA, Chandigarh. He has also attended Financial (DDO) Training at Madhusudan Das Regional Academy of Financial Management, Finance Department, Govt. of Odisha. Mr. Mishra was also adjudged as Best in Management, Public Speaking & General Service Training in Warrant Officers’ Management course from Indian Air Force. He has attended a Leadership Development Programme jointly conducted by AICTE and UKIERI and he has also participated in the Workshop on Leadership Development in Higher Education for University Administrators by NIEPA, New Delhi.
Mr. Mishra has been a Member of the Interview Board for the post of Sr. Lecturer of Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC), Govt. of Odisha. He is also appointed as an Observer for both Odisha Joint Entrance Examination, JEE Cell, Odisha and National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, 2013 by CBSE, New Delhi. He is the Nodal Officer for all the Admission matters of MBBS, B.Sc (Hons) Nursing, B.Sc (Hons) Paramedical, M.Sc Nursing, MD/MS & DM/MCh students of AIIMS. Mr. Mishra had also been nominated as the Nodal Officer for Co-ordinating all activities pertaining to the 1 st , 2 nd , 3 rd & 4 th Convocation of AIIMS, Bhubaneswar out of which the 1 st one was attended by the Hon’ble Vice President of India as the Chief Guest.
Mr. B.B. Mishra is the recipient of Junior Athletics Champion in School, Literary Champion in College, Best Actor & Play Back Singer in University, and Gold Medalist in Hindi Debate from Ministry of Home Dept. Official Language besides various other awards in the field of extra- curricular activities. He is also a Gold Medalist in Air Force Gymnastics (Aerobics) Team Championship. Mr. Mishra has to his credit an International Conference at Chennai and also presented a paper. He has also published various Articles in UGC-CARE & other Journals. Mr. Mishra believes in sincere efforts to enrich the traditions of transparency, objectivity and efficiency in the academic administration of an organization.
