About
The office of Dean Academic Affairs was established on September 07, 2021 in conformity with the intents of National Education Policy 2020 (NEP) before that there was name Prof. I/c (Academics and Research) as a nerve centre for all the academic matter of the University, which works under the overall direction and Guidance of the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor. The Dean Academic Affairs is appointed by the Executive Council on the recommendations of the Vice-Chancellor.
The office of the Dean Academic Affairs looks after the academic environment, plannings of the courses and teaching plans, admission related matters and all other academic issues in consultation with all Deans, Heads, Faculty and other officers of the University. At present the activities related to Research innovations and academic development in tune of local, national and global aspects are also co-ordinated by this office. The Dean Academic Affairs is co-ordinating Industry Institution Partnership Programs to facilitate Industrial collaborations and training and MoUs with various Research Institutes, Universities and Centre of Excellence in India and Abroad.

Vision

Mision

The primary mission of the University are:

i. To provide a best learning environment in which students can discover, examine critically, preserve and transmit the knowledge, wisdom and values that will help ensure the survival of this and future generations and improve the quality of life.

ii. Balance of academic programs that are mutually reinforcing and emphasize high quality and creative instruction for the educations & researches levels.

iii. To generate new knowledge through a broad array of scholarly, research and creative endeavors, which provide a foundation for dealing with the immediate and long-range needs of societies.

iv. To encourage for participate to students extensively in statewide, national and international programs and workshop.

v. To maintain a level of excellence and standards in all programs that will give them statewide, national and international significance.

Some important academic activities of this office:

Functions
i. Preparation and Impletmentation of Academic Calendars.
ii. To co-ordinate with the Deans concerned with regard to the work of the teaching and Research in the University Teaching Departments and the introduction of new courses.
iii. To forward application of teachers for attending Orientation / Refresher courses.
iv. To handle all proposals of additional requests of staff and funds for books, equipments, furniture etc. of the University Teaching Departments.
v. Implementation of Statutes and Ordinances of the University with respect to academic administration.
vi. Compliance of UGC and other regulatory bodies, curriculum designing.
vii. Framing policy related to starting of Programmes, conduct of Board of Studies/School Board including CAS related work.
viii. Student’s support system work related to organising conference/workshop.
ix. Arranging visiting faculty/guest facilities, lectures.
x. Looking Academic semester fee, Course mapping, Feedback management for the students in the SAMARTH Portal
xi. Preparation of Academic Fees structure of all departments.
xii. Planning and co-ordination of introduction of National Education Policy (NEP-2020) in the University.
xiii. Planning and monitiring of standared education in the University
xxiv. Makes decisions and recommendations to institutional leadership regarding academic course schedules, faculty, and space allocation; oversees budgeting for academic departments.
xv. To discharge any other academic duty specifically assigned by the Vice-Chancellor.
Facilities
i. SAMARTH module introudced for the filling of examinatin form, admission, fee collection, feedback managament and other management.
ii. The physical facilities of such as classrooms, offices, laboratories, libraries, seminar hall and other essential resources available to conduct an educational program alongwith sports, medical facilities is available.
iii. Academic Bank of Credits for the students has been created from the year 2022.
iv. University offeres 21 program in the Integrated UG, 12 Program in the PG and 20 program in Ph.D for the year 2024-25
v. Cyber Jaagrookta (Awarness) Diwas started on the first Wednesday of every month.
vi. Departmental lecture series started in every month on different topic i.e. G20 Presidency: India’s Aspiration, Challenges and opportunities, G20 University connect, G-20 Summit Lecture Series.
