Brief Profile

Shashi Kumar Mishra has been associated with the discipline of Foreign Language Education- Korean & Hindi, as a distinguished academician, researcher, and administrator and as a language professional. He has Teaching experience of more than one decade. Mr. Mishra did Master in Linguistics from University of Delhi and went to Seoul National University, South Korea and completed Korean Language Training programme and his Phd Course work. He has produced qualitative publications in UGC CARE listed and KCI Indexed Journals. Mr. Mishra has recently edited a special issue of UGC CARE listed Journal the Third Concept: A Journal of Internal Ideas in March 2024. He has delivered more than 15 lectures inside and outside India. In 2023 he has been invited at Busan University of Foreign Studies, Republic of Korea. He has been invited as an expert to speak on Foreign Language Education and Opportunities in the Studio of Jharkhand Doordarshan. He has been very instrumental in signing MoU with International institutions such as Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, Busan University of Foreign Studies and Keimyung University, Republic of Korea. After CORONA, Mr. Mishra came up with a very innovative idea and started TANDEM classes with students of Hankuk University of Foreign Studies. Republic of Korea. Not only that, he also started online Winter Hindi teaching Programme for the students of Hankuk University of Foreign Studies. He has been designated as the Programme coordinator for the TANDEM Classes and Online Winter Hindi Intensive Programme. His are of Specialization is Language Teaching, Foreign Language Teaching, Korean Language Education, Korean Grammar, Linguistics, Translation and Interpretation etc. He has taught various courses at UG and PG level and some of them are Basic Korean Reading, Writing and Grammar, Intermediate Korean Reading, Writing and Grammar and Advance Korean Reading, Writing and Grammar, Business Korean Conversation, Introduction to Language and Linguistics, Korean Literature, Translation and Interpretation etc. Mr. Mishra has actively been engaged in Administrative and Extra-curricular activities and has contributed immensely for the development of a newly established university as a Faculty in Charge of International Students and Research Cell, , Member of Gandhi Study Center, Warden, Coordinators, Conveners and Members of various other committees.
