Brief Profile

Prof. K. B. Panda is currently working as Professor of Statistics in the Department of Statistics, Central University of Jharkhand. Prof. Panda accomplished his Post Graduation in Statistics from the Utkal University, Odisha with Rank 1(19983) followed by M. Phil. degree from Meerut University, Uttar Pradesh (1986) and Ph. D. degree from University of Delhi, Delhi (1995). He joined the Odisha Education Service (College Branch) in 1990 as Lecturer in Statistics. He served the second oldest College, the SKCG College, Parlakhemundi and a premere College, the BJB College, Bhubaneswar before his posting as Asst. Director (Planning) in the Directorate of Higher Education, Odisha, Bhubaneswar. He joined the Utkal University in 2010 as Associate Professor of Statistics and in 2016 became Professor of Statistics. After his superannuation from the Utkal University on attaining 60 years in June, 2022, he was engaged as Professor of Practice (Statistics) in the Central University of Jharkhand wef 09 December, 2023, and currently Professor of Statistics on regular basis since 27 July, 2023. While five students have been awarded Ph. D. degree under his supervision, five are pursuing research right now. He has published 45 research papers in various national and international journals of repute.
