RESEARCH INTERESTS   The EU as a Global Actor, EU-India Relations, Perception studies, Contemporary International Issues, European economic, security and identity issues, Regional Integration, SAARC, International Organizations, Indian Foreign Policy

RESEARCH EXPERIENCE   1. Lead Researcher in the international consortium of the Jean Monnet Multilateral Research Project involving eight countries entitled “External Images of the European Union (EXIE)”. The project focuses on the study of EU media images of a normative energy player in BRICS and is funded by the European Commission. Led by Dr Natalia Chaban, Jean Monnet Chair, of the National Centre for Research on Europe (NCRE), University of Canterbury, New Zealand, it is conducted in cooperation with Prof Michele Knodt of TU Darmstadt, Germany, Prof Amy Verdun of University of Victoria, Canada, and Prof Martin Holland, NCRE, New Zealand. . The project commences on September 1, 2012 and ends on August 31, 2014.
2. Principal Researcher in the International Consortium of the Jean Monnet Project involving ten countries entitled “ After Lisbon: The EU as an Exporter of Values and Norms through ASEM” funded by the European Commission and coordinated by the National Centre for Research on Europe, University of Canterbury, New Zealand, December 2010 – April 2012.
3. Principal Researcher in the “EU through the Eyes of Asia” project of the European Studies in Asia (Esia) funded by the Intellectual Exchange Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF) and coordinated by the National Centre for Research on Europe (NCRE), University of Canterbury from June 2009 – December 2010.
